How we price
By volume in the truck, then weight, then labor. That is the whole formula. No hourly meter, no stair fee, no fuel surcharge invented at the end. You hear the number before the first item is lifted, and if it does not work for you we leave.
Heavy material is the one exception worth knowing about. Concrete, dirt, roofing and tile price by the ton because the transfer station charges by the ton. A pickup bed of it can cost more than a room of furniture.
Where loads end up
Furniture and appliances with life left in them go to donation. Green Country Habitat ReStore takes furniture in Tulsa, and Goodwill of Tulsa runs 14 stores plus standalone donation centers. Appliances that are past use go to scrap, since a washer is mostly steel and steel has a buyer.
What nobody can use goes to the Tulsa Indoor Dump at 1150 N Peoria Ave, the only state-licensed transfer station in the city that accepts waste from the public.
What we turn down
Wet paint, chemicals, asbestos and medical waste. Hard-wired appliances and plumbed water heaters need the right trade before we can take them, and we will say so instead of improvising with a pipe wrench.
We will also tell you when the city bulky waste pickup is the better deal. For one item at the curb with no deadline, $20 to the city beats any private crew, and pretending otherwise would be a short-term way to run a business.
